10 DIY projects with old pallets for your garden, balcony and exteriors
Summer is now drawing near and it's time to dust off that old pallets pile! Here you'll find 10 creative tips to indulge in the art of recycling. A simple way to create the most different objects and make your garden, balcony and vegetable garden even more unique (and eco-friendly).
1. Build Your Own Butcher Block Kitchen Island

I highly recommend staining the "planks" before attaching them for the bottom and middle shelves. Ana attached the planks with Kreg joins. This seemed like a ton of work and I couldn't think of a reason that using my nail gun and wood glue wouldn't suffice, so that is what I did. Super quick and easy with my Ryobi AirStrike Nailer.
Also, I used a 5 gallon bucket paint stirrer to space the planks, which worked out well.
2. Pallet Coffee Table with One Drawer

Wheels have been fixed on pallets chocks which serve here as already made short legs to this pallet table! One drawer has also been installed just to secure or hide some personal tools, magazines and even the mobile phones! A white antique knob has also been fitted to drawer for easy opening and hence the whole shape becomes aesthetically pleasing and super functional as well! Table can be display in variety of colors using paint and can also be stained or burned for an inspiring antique look!

To shape up this pallet made lounge chair first make a rectangular frame from thick pallet bars and then fill it with gap using pallet slat pieces same slat would be used as hinges to support the back at a tilted angle.
4. Pallet Bed Frame

This pallet bed frame is really something unique and modern in its style and shape and can be easily adapted to a contemporary styled bedroom. The single face skids have been joined to form the bed platform and large boards have been turned into the headboards while the crates have been hanged on its top for book storage.
5. Pallet Garden/Porch Swing

Install beautiful wooden swings with pallets, here a half cut pallet has been fixed on a complete uncut pallet boards for an L-shaped wooden seat which has then been hanged to an aloft support through metal chairs for a beautiful wooden swing!
